Case Study - 1
Quick Printer Franchise
World of Color originally provided this franchise with service on a range of older machines that the existing supplier was no longer prepared to support.
We arranged a complete overhaul of the existing equipment, bringing it up to specification and then maintained it for a further 18 months when the franchise was sold on.
We took the time to meet with the new owner and had discussions with him as to his vision for the business and how the offering from the franchise could be improved.
Initially discussions centred on the colour machines and the existing equipment was upgraded to a new Canon CLC5151 professional colour machine with fiery interface and to provide back up a fully refurbished Canon CLC3220 professional colour machine with fiery interface. Implementing these new machines resulted in a reduced cost per copy for the franchise whilst providing modern digital equipment capable of handling a broader range of stock and a faster job output.
Following on from providing new colour machines the black and white issue was addressed. Older machines that were prone to breakdown and the finishing equipment was losing registration. Initially a Canon iR6570 with booklet finisher was introduced followed by an iR7095 device with both booklet maker and post fuser inserter and folder.
Introduction of these new machines has reduced labour intensive tasks such as Z folding mailshot letters and given enhanced print output and reduced costs per copy.
At all times World of Color worked directly with this client, addressing their specific needs and proposing and implementing more productive machines as and when required.
Currently World of Color are supporting a number of busy Quick Printer franchises and traditional independent copy shops and lithographic printers with a service that ensures their equipment is up and running for the maximum time and reducing their bottom line costs through specialist purchase plans and a service offering designed to enhance productivity.
